Sonya is an experienced human resource professional with over 10 years of administrative experience. Sonya began her career in HR in a high-volume healthcare facility, contributing to its growth across multiple locations in southern Louisiana. From there, her experience has expanded into HR management of a luxury-retail environment, as well as providing professional legal assistance to one of the most renowned law firms in Louisiana. Her comprehensive background and expertise in human resources, organizational development, performance management, hiring and onboarding, training and implementation of policies and procedures, ensures her ability to deliver strong results that align with her passion to drive employee performance and engagement.
Sonya possesses an Honors Graduate Associate of Science in Business Administration along with a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management with Chancellor’s List recognition from Louisiana State University in Shreveport. She is also a member of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM). In her free time, she enjoys painting, cooking, and being a pet mom to her dog and cats.
